This mountain - what western Canadians might call a hill, but this is no less beautiful - is The Schauinsland which means basically look at the countryside. I wonder why.
It sits at the southern end of Freiburg a gives a pretty nice view of the rolling hills that cover this part of Germany. You can also see France quite easily from this spot but it's not in the frame here.
