401 Burrard

401 Burrard

A shot of the main entrance to 401 Burrard from an exceptionally low angle. I took the picture from the bottom of the stairs that lead to the entrance from the north side of the building. Just peeking out from the top of the stairs is the roof of the Hotel Vancouver which is two blocks away.

I wish that the sky wasn't blown out but, with such a contrast between the shadows of the doorway and the bright sky, there wasn't much chance of not blowing it out. The photo was almost monochromatic so I made it black and white.

Made black and white, contrast adjustment, cropping and sharpening in Photoshop.
