Museumsbistro

Museumsbistro

Nothing to say, really. Just haven't posted in a while. Some new info: this building was first documented in 1355. Pretty old but still very beautiful.

UPDATE: OK, here's a little more info. This bistro is at the north end of the Münsterplatz in Basel, Switzerland. I've written about the Basel Münster before but it's just a short blurb.

Interestingly enough, Basel is the city that gave the world both Helvetica, the font, and LSD, the drug. Pretty sure those two events are not otherwise related.

Albert Hofmann, the man who discovered LSD, famously rode his bicycle home through Basel after purposefully dosing himself. Perhaps, even past this nice little bistro, but I doubt it.

Someone made a cute, short, animated video commemorating that event. For what it's worth, the anniversary of Mr. Hofmann's bike ride is April 19th, so, not 4/20 but 4/19.
