Gastown Alley

Gastown Alley

I found this alley a while ago wandering around Gastown and Chinatown. It's really a throwback to a completely different time. A time when buildings were crowded together, brick and so full of character. There is a lot to modern architecture but I can't help but think that it's lost an intangible something that these buildings have in spades.

I really wish that the thin sliver of sky wasn't blown out but the rest of the shot is fairly well exposed so there wasn't much I could do to keep that bright a sky within range.

Colour-correction, sharpening in Photoshop.
