Looks Like Plastic

Looks Like Plastic

But it's not. Another shot with flash, underexposed and with a polarizer. You kind of end up with a very unnatural, plastic-in-a-studio kind of look that I like. Doesn't work for all subjects, but generally plants do quite well with it. I haven't really tried it with people but, then again, you might have noticed that I don't take to many people shots.

One thing that occurred to me is that Safari is the only browser that honours colour profiles. What this means is that most of you will be seeing slightly washed out versions of these photos which kind of sucks. It looks like Mozilla/Camino are trying to implement them but that feature isn't there yet. I'm not even going to talk about Internet Exploder, what a piece of shit (if you're not going to take my advice below, at the very least stop using IE and get Mozilla).

I guess for some of these photos you are thinking to yourself 'what the hell is he talking about, the colours aren't that rich'.

Well, they are on a mac. Do yourself a huge favour and ditch that ugly PC, you'll never look back.

Sharpening, slight contrast adjustment in Photoshop.
