There Are Mountains There...

There Are Mountains There...

Just before we had those few days of snow right down in Vancouver, there were a few days that the local mountains had snow, but the city got none. The weather was pretty dramatic in that there was heavy cloud, rain, snow at higher elevations and, for a few glorious moments, blue sky and crazy sunsets.

You can just see Grouse Mountain peeking through the clouds but all of the others are MIA.

I actually hand-held this shot and spot exposed for the brightest parts of the clouds and it seemed to work out really well.

Fuji Velvia 100, scanned, colour corrected, sharpened in Photoshop.
