As Red As Red Can Be

As Red As Red Can Be

While it looks like this red, red rose was shot indoors in the dark, it was actually shot outside during the day. I used a flash and didn't use slow-sync. Therefor, anything that wasn't lit by the flash ended up in darkness. I honestly can't remember if I used an external flash but I'm pretty sure that I must have judging by the angle of the shadows.

The surface of the petals has a matte surface and didn't reflect the flash very much giving the rose an amazingly saturated red colour. It's colour like that that makes me take pictures.
