A bigger Moon

A bigger Moon

One of these days I'd love to get a longer telephoto in order to get distant objects ridiculously huge. But, until then, this will have to do. Telephoto lenses do neat things in that, the farther an object is, the larger it gets. I know that sounds obvious, but it's not a linear thing. Therefor with a really long lens, the mountains would get bigger in this shot, but the moon would get way bigger. Impossibly bigger.

I used to live and work near the north end (left) of that bridge.

Fuji Velvia 100, scanned, colour corrected, sharpened in Photoshop CS3.
