Playing With Deer

Because I have already posted a photo of this deer before, I decided to manipulate this one a little bit. Not too much, just a bit of added contrast.

I like the look but am not sure if I like using it on this site. Generally my photos are about capturing the things that I see, not manipulating them. Then again, I do have a specific category for manipulated photos. It is all too easy to take a mediocre photo and add effects to it to make it interesting and that is something that I want to stay away from here.

This photo does stand up alright on it's own, so I don't feel so bad putting it up - even like this. Perhaps once in a while is alright.

Fuji Velvia 100, scanned, manipulated, sharpened in Photoshop CS3.
