Did You Say Something?

Did You Say Something?

A interesting display mixing couture and graffiti in the Holt Renfrew window on Granville Street.

After an interminably long time, I finally picked up a new giant DSLR - a Nikon D80 - and it is amazing. Without getting into the religious arguments of which brand/camera is better, this is an incredible camera. The clarity, creative control, intuitiveness, lack of noise and balance is easily the best I've had my paws on.

And all my old lenses work great with it.

I've shot a lot of film over a lot of years and nothing beats the immediacy of accurate digital imaging with a huge display and a histogram. I've already noticed - in one day - improvements in composition and exposure.
