From Robson North

Looking north from Robson Street over Coal Harbour. You can see across Burrard Inlet to the North Shore and in the distance is Second Narrows and the Bridge that's there. That bridge now has the rather unwieldy name of "The First Iron Workers Memorial Bridge" but everyone here still calls it the 2nd Narrows.

The tallest building in the frame is the new Shaw Tower and I guess, until "Shangrila" is built, it's the tallest structure in Vancouver. What a stupid idea to put it near the water. The tallest buildings should be at the center of the peninsula and the shortest should be at the waterline. That way you maximize the view from as many buildings as possible. You also don't end up with an imposing, ugly wall of towers along the water's edge. Then again, I'm not a city planner.

Colour-correction, straightening, sharpening, cropping all done in photoshop.
