English Bay Sunset

English Bay Sunset

This is a shot of English Bay taken from the top of the Landmark Hotel. That hotel is way taller than any of the buildings around it and feels insanely tall when you're standing on top of it. The view, obviously, is unparalleled and I spent probably two hours taking shots of the city and just enjoying Vancouver.

Unfortunately, it was pretty windy up there and I think my tripod moved around a bit so the images aren't as crisp as I would have liked.

I feel very lucky to live here and to have been able to see this city from such an incredible vantage point.

I desaturated the image a little because the colours were just over the top - and not in a good way. I also used a blue filter to counter some of the reddish glow from the lights. Other than that there was the standard noise reduction and sharpening in photoshop.
