Winter Night

Winter Night

Day 5.

Sometimes, standing in the freezing cold dark for hours pays off. The fifth of my twelve days of Christmas photos took quite a bit more work than the others but I like the results.

The view is really beautiful and, even though my feet were cold, I loved just being up there, watching the subtle changes in colours and light as the day changed into night. With no iPod or other distraction I was able to just watch, clear my head and do some thinking.

I really need to do that more often. Maybe for not quite as long at a time and hopefully it won't always be quite this cold.

Perhaps I should have brought some of this with me.

Now we're talkin'.
