Sunset in Paris

Sunset in Paris

On Friday, I made the effort to pull myself away from my desk - been insanely busy the past while - and go for dinner and a movie with my girlfriend. The movie was Woody Allen's latest, Midnight in Paris. It's a great film and it makes me want to go to Paris again, like, NOW. Without giving anything away, the movie plays heavily with the idea that in Paris, or any of the other big, old cities in Europe, you always have the feeling that every time you turn a corner, there will be some famous figure from history just walking down the sidewalk or sitting outside a café. For me, that thought is always there. I feel it.

This is a sunset shot so it's not exactly midnight in Paris but it's close enough. It was taken from the same spot and on the same evening that I took this shot. It's a little later and I used the P6000 because the battery in my d80 died while we were up there.
