On our way back from Amrum and Hamburg last summer we stopped in Düsseldorf to visit some friends. While getting the tourist tour of the city, we went past this media complex designed by Frank Gehry. There are three buildings and the centre one, the one shown here, is clad in stainless steel to reflect the materials of the two others that flank it.
I love seeing such irregular structures. It's so rare that someone with a completely different vision is able to have it realized and Gehry has found a great place in the world of architecture where he is able to make unique structures.
I'll also take the time here to mention that he is Canadian.
