The Capitoline Wolf and the Leaning Tower

The Capitoline Wolf and the Leaning Tower

I'm not sure why there is a statue of the Capitoline Wolf sitting in the Piazza del Duomo in Pisa, but there is. Apparently, there are many around the world and this just happens to where was ended up. Mussolini had a habit of giving them away; especially to cities in the United States for some reason. Rome, New York, I understand, but Cincinnati, Ohio? I guess it isn't so strange that one is in Pisa.

I've written about the tower before if you want some of the history and I posted a photo of three prints from Pisa that I had hung in my living room in case you were interested in taking advantage of the holiday sale I have going on.

Now that I'm living in Europe, those three photos are hanging in a friends home. He sent me a picture. They look great there too.
