So, Anja, finally a picture from Düsseldorf. Oh, wait, there was one other.

I don't have much information about these invaders swarming over the building other than they are called Flossis and they were created in 2002 by an artist named Rosalie. She's from Stuttgart and does a lot of projects for theatre and opera.

She has created and installed versions with fewer figures elsewhere in Düsseldorf and in other German cities but this one is the biggest and is also permanent.

If anyone has any more info, please leave a comment and I'll update this post with the new info.
